The CARE Project is here for you, whether you are a person with disability, support someone with disability, or work as a service provider. Everyone is welcome, including those not eligible for the NDIS. Our programs are tailored to meet the needs of culturally diverse communities, with a focus on First Nations peoples.
Our goal is to help you:
- Create cultural connections.
- Advocate for your rights with confidence.
- Build relationships and connect with peers.
- Navigate disability, health, and community services.
- Gain independence and contribute to your community.

We work with you and your community through focus groups and partnerships to co-design programs that meet your needs.
ADVOCACY
We help you understand your rights, build confidence, and advocate for yourself in your community and beyond.
RESOURCEFULNESS
We provide tools like e-learning modules, support groups, and resources to help you find and access the services you need.
EMPOWERMENT
We support you in building independence and connections so you can participate and contribute to your community.

MODULE 1:
Understanding the Importance of Self-Advocacy
Discover the power of self-advocacy in our interactive learning module. Gain the tools, skills, and confidence to understand your rights, express your needs, and make informed decisions.
MODULE 2:
Parenting Neurodivergent kids
Caring for a neurodivergent child is both rewarding and challenging. This module will empower you (or rather, impower you because power is always within) with strategies to support your child’s development and emotional needs, and help to build your confidence and skills.
MODULE 3:
Understanding Attachment, Relational Patterns, and Emotional HealinG
This module is designed to help you understand the core needs of attachment, recognise common relational patterns, and identify effective ways to foster secure emotional bonds.

MODULE 4:
Building Healthy Relationships: Conflict Resolution and Emotional Intelligence
Learn to understand conflict, manage emotions, and build stronger relationships through empathy and key communication skills.

MODULE 5:
Self Compassion and Self Acceptance
In this module, you’ll explore why self-compassion and self-acceptance are essential for your mental, emotional, and overall well-being. Here, you’ll learn how to treat yourself with kindness, patience, and understanding, especially during difficult times.

WORKSHOPS
Our in-person workshops are open to everyone and focus on building practical self-advocacy skills, such as confidently speaking up for yourself and your needs. These workshops complement the e-learning modules but can be attended independently.
These workshops are designed to help you:
- Advocate for your needs and rights with confidence.
- Build connections and relationships within your community.
- Navigate disability, health, and community services effectively.

FREE first aid & cpr
Are you a person with disability?
Do you support a person with disability?
Do you have a family member with disability?
Gain essential first aid skills with this nationally recognised course. Learn how to assess emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and manage injuries like burns, wounds, and fractures.
- HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
- HLTAID009 – Provide CPR
- HLTAID010 – Basic Emergency Life Support
Note: The theory and questions will be emailed to participants to complete before the face-to-face component. Anyone who needs assistance with the theory can arrive at 9am to complete. Participants will need a USI number to complete this course.

SUPPORT GROUPS
Our support groups provide a safe space to connect, share experiences, and build relationships. They help you advocate for your needs, navigate services, and strengthen your confidence and independence.
Weekly sessions will be available in Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, and Western Sydney. Details to be announced soon!

Let’s yarn ndis
Let’s Yarn is a relaxed and welcoming support group for carers, family members, and people with disability. This group provides a safe space to connect, share experiences, and have open conversations about the NDIS and everyday life. Whether you’re seeking information, peer support, or simply a chance to chat with others who understand, Let’s Yarn is a place to feel heard, supported, and connected. Everyone is welcome.
